Professor Geoffrey Shields, Dean of Vermont Law School from 2004 to mid-2012 and a Herbert Smith visitor to the Law Faculty, gave a Centre for Corporate and Commercial Law (3CL) lunchtime talk on Friday 19 October 2012 on the practice of corporate law in US law firms, with particular reference to the hiring of overseas lawyers.
